Mozart Marriage of Figaro overture- Beethoven Piano Concerto No 4 with Viv McLean and Mendelssohn Symphony No 4 ‘Italian’.

Bach with Viv McLean, piano
Following Beethoven 4, Viv returns with a late night all Bach piano recital which will include the 5th French Suite and the 1st Partita.

27th June at 11.30am Glossop Parish Church
We are delighted to announce that the family concert this year is hosted by Matthew Sharp, internationally renowned cellist and singer. With the string players of the Glossop Festival Orchestra, Matthew will lead the audience on a fantastic musical adventure, with music from Grieg’s Holberg Suite, Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ (soloist Matthew Truscott, leader of the orchestra), and Telemann’s ‘The Frogs’, featuring beginner violins from local primary schools as ‘croaking frogs’.

27th June at 7.30pm Glossop Parish Church
The Festival season is brought to a close with a string orchestra concert. Our fine string players, led by Matthew Truscott and conducted by Christopher George, perform some of the gems of the repertoire: Elgar Serenade for Strings; Bach Brandenburg Concerto No 3; Dvorák Serenade for Strings.
