World-class classical music in Glossop
Our Summer 2016 Festival features international pianist Viv McLean, Grammy award-winning bass-baritone, Jonathan Lemalu, and remarkable cellist and animateur, Matthew Sharp.
This exciting six-day Summer Festival from 20-25 June comprises:
20th - 22nd June | Education Workshops & Schools' Concerts
Matthew Sharp (critically acclaimed animateur, cellist and singer) leads the Glossop Festival String Orchestra alongside over 200 local primary school violins and clarinets, to audiences of over 1000 local children.

As a wonderful finale to the Summer Festival 2016, Claire Surman is joined by international singers Miriam Ryen (soprano), Sarah Castle (mezzo-soprano), Eamonn Mulhall (tenor), Robert Davies (baritone) and Jonathan Lemalu (bass-baritone) together with the Glossop Festival Orchestra conducted by Christopher George
