About this event

Join The Glossop Festival Orchestra for a magical baroque concert by candlelight. Trumpeter Anthony Thompson tackles the virtuosic brilliance of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 2, described as a trumpeter's 'Mount Everest'. The concert begins with Purcell's Rondeau from ‘Abdelazer’, best known as the main theme to Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.
