We had a wonderful time at the Glossop Music Festival Christmas Concert on Saturday night and thank you to the audience who came out on a very chilly and snowy evening!
Lauren Scott and Conrad Marshall performed beautifully and the evening was rounded off with some lovely Christmas music performed by Claire Surman, Emma Dixon and Ben Powell from the Glossop Festival Team.
We heard a mesmerising evening of music, including enchanting pieces such as Gossec's Tambourin, extracts from Bizet's Carmen, Fauré's Sicilienne, Bach's Sonata in G minor, Andy Scott's Sonata for flute and harp, Mozart's Andante, Daniel Whibley's Casadh, Ibert's Entra'act and a selection of festive favourites to welcome the Christmas season. We also learnt about Lauren's beautiful gold harp and its fascinating system of pedals and strings which makes it sound so stunning. Keep an eye on our socials media and website for the announcement about our 2024 Spring Concert and Summer Festival!
Here is a selection of fantastic pictures from the Christmas Concert. Many thanks to Adrian Lambert for these wonderful images!
